Join Sylvie ringing in the New Year at her PREMIERE bead retreat! **** SOLD OUT******* (but because of the enthusiasm for this event, watch for information about Spring 2010 Georgia AND Michigan retreats!) in the meantime... here's some info about the sold out New Year's retreat... December 31, 2009 - January 3, 2010 Ellijay, Georgia (approximately 1 hour North of Atlanta) The retreat will be held at "The Scrapbook Lodge" which is a beautiful facility created specifically for craft retreats! It will be totally ours for the weekend which means it's basically one big beady slumber-party! (click here for pictures of the accomodations) Here's the scoop.... Thursday, December 31st - arrive and get settled in, shop* We will "party" the night away enjoying a delicious buffet, beading (a mini-class with Sylvie introducing Friday's project), watching chick-flicks and testing out the cabin's very own margarita machine! (it's New Year's Eve after all!!) If you have New Year's Eve plans, but still want to attend the retreat, you are welcome to join us Friday. Sylvie can give you the Thursday "homework" before you arrive. Friday, January 1st - You Are My Sunshine Ring. The latest project from Sylvie. This will be the premiere of the class and NO kits will be sold prior to the class, so you will be the FIRST to bead this project. It's an adorable ring that has so much texture and is FUN FUN FUN to wear! You will also get an introduction to Saturday's class so that you can do homework if you'd like to. After 4:30, the class ends, but the fun doesn't... bead, shop, eat, relax, laugh... repeat!!! Saturday, January 2nd - Head Over Heels Queen of Hearts. The FIRST time Sylvie has taught Head Over Heels since 2004! This project in its original form was retired and was reintroduced as special limited edition kits. The Queen of Hearts is the Winter 2010 edition and this will be the ONLY class for this version of the project. Saturday evening will be free-time for beading, socializing and relaxing. Sunday, January 3rd - Day 2 of Head Over Heels Queen of Hearts. After class ends at 4, there will be time for a little more shopping then "check-out" will be at 5:30. The cost for the weekend is $400. This includes 3 days of classes, 2 kits, meals (Thursday - dinner & New Years Eve party, Friday & Saturday - breakfast, lunch & dinner, Sunday - breakfast & lunch) and 3 nights of lodging (single beds in a "dorm-room" style). Your transportation to the Lodge and any additional shopping* are not included in the price. *WAIT!!! There's SHOPPING??? Of course! You will have a private trunk-show of Sylvie's beads and kits as well as the full collection (over 150 colors) of Saybeads size 15/0 seed-beads at your fingertips! With Beads by Design as our sponsor there will also be a mini-beadstore available for your last-minute bead needs.
