Happy Spring Sylviebead friends and customers!!!
It's been a little while since I wrote and I hope that your year is going great so far!! It's springtime in Atlanta, which means dogwoods about to bloom and flip-flop season! My favorite time of the year!!
It's been a busy beady year for me, getting ready for lots of exciting things. This newsletter will be one of a series that you receive.... each with something NEW and exciting to announce!! Here's what's new.... |
 | | Sylvie's Sparkle of Spring Retreat
The first big announcement is the Spring retreat in Georgia!!
The New Years retreat was a BIG success. Everyone had a lot of fun and it was a great test-run for future retreats.
Because that retreat sold out almost as soon as I announced it, I decided to do a 2nd retreat in Georgia this spring.
May 14-16 Elijay, GA (1 hour North of Atlanta)

A Decade of Head Over Heels!! 2010 is the 10th anniversary of my Head Over Heels project. 10 years ago, I would have NEVER thought I'd be designing beadwork projects. This one project started it all. BIG thank you's to Cynthia Rutledge for NOT selling me a finished Romancing the Lariat (which featured my lampwork beads), saying that I had to learn to make it myself and then for teaching me how to bead, to Gerry White of Beads by Design in Marietta, GA for having the contest which inspired me to create this doll/bracelet AND to NanC Meinhardt for telling me, (when I had no clue who she was) "THIS is what you do now!" I am working on a scrapbook to commemorate the anniversary, which I will display at my Bead and Button booth, featuring photos of all the different versions that have been beaded by my wonderful customers. I'd like to have a digital version of this scrapbook on my website this year, as well. If you have photos to share, I would LOVE to include them. Send them to sylvie@sylviebeads.com

| In other Head Over Heels news, I will also have something very special at Bead and Button... the return of the original 7 Head Over Heels kits. Those kits were retired in 2005, but I'm bringing back these "vintage" colors for that one show. (I will be offering pre-show orders for anyone wishing to reserve one before the show OR for anyone who can't attend).
In the meantime, Head Over Heels Queen of Hearts is available through the end of the month. Watch your e-mail for news about the Spring Head Over Heels (she's toooo cute!)
